• Time limit is 3 hours 45 minutes for 15K runners. All course will be open to the traffic at 13.00. After this time, the runners who are still on the course will be asked to continue running on the sidewalks.

The chip points will be open to the traffic step by step. Any runner who comes to the finish line after the time limit will not receive medal and online certificate.

• A recycling chip which is going to take the running time will be given to all runners at Marathon and Sport EXPO.

• All runners must tie this timing chip to their shoelace.

• The entrants will pick up their race bib numbers at the Marathon and Sport Expo which will be held between October 31 and November 2, 2019 at "Eurasia Show and Art Center" (at Yenikapi Meeting Area) with their passports.

• The race packet includes the bib number, the timing chip, t-shirt and the race bag.

• The last day for category changing is August 31th, 2019. After this date, no request will be accepted.

• Marathon and Sport Expo will be held between October 31 and November 2, 2019 at "Eurasia Show and Art Center" (at Yenikapi Meeting Area).

• The entrants will receive their race packs at the Marathon and Sport Expo.

• The race pack includes the bib number, the timing chip, the marathon t-shirt and the race bag.

• Runners must show their passports to pick up their race packs.

• It is only possible to pick up race packs on the days of the Marathon and Sport Expo.

• The 15K race start area is 250 meters to the 15th July Martyrs Bridge. The race finishes in front of Meeting Area at Yenikapi.

• Drinking/sponging and refreshment stations are provided every 2,5 km after 5th km.

There will be free buses to the start point from below destinations on race day.

• Taksim Square (in front of previous Ataturk Culteral Center) between 07.00 am. - 07.30 am.

• Sultanahmet Square (in front of Hagia Sophia) between 07.00 am. - 07.30 am.

The last departure times are 07:30 am. for buses!

• 15K Luggage Buses will be ready at the left side of 15K Start point.

The athletes should leave their bags in the respective buses.

All luggage buses will be leave at 08.30. The Organizing Committee and Istanbul Sports Events are not responsible for any lost and stolen items from luggage buses.

• 15K runners may pick up their race bags from Luggage Tents at Yenikapi.

Runners must show their bib numbers to the stafs to take back their race bags.

• 15K runners who finishes the race in time (in 3.45 hours) will be presented a commemorative medal at the finish line.

• Top three male and female finishers in the 15K race will be presented trophies and medals at 19:00, on November 12th, Monday. Address of Award Ceremony will be announced to the winners after the race.

• 30 ambulances will be available throughout the course and a Tent Hospital will be located at the finish.

• Please, be examined before the race. People who have respiratory tract and heart disease should not participate in the 15K race. Please participate in the 10K race after you have enough rest. In the race morning have your breakfast early and avoid yourself from the acidic and alcoholic drinks. Please wear socks with your sneakers necessarily. Please leave the race if you have health problems during the race you can also ask for medical assistance from health officers.

• 12-13 degrees celcius at the start 16-17 degrees celcius at the finish area.

• The nearest airport to the main locations such as the Marathon Office, the Expo and the finish area is Istanbul Ataturk Airport (IATA Code: IST), 25K to the City center. The Sabiha Gokcen Airport (IATA Code: SAW) on the Asian part of the city is an alternative at a distance of 50K to the City center. There are shuttle services at both airports provided by the ground handling company HAVAS. www.istanbulairportshuttle.com

• Metro operates between the Ataturk Airport and Aksaray, a district close to Sultanahmet. A taxi costs around 30 Euros to Sultanahmet or Taksim, the city center.

• The athletes cannot attend to the 15K race with bicycle, motorcycle, roller skates or any other vehicles. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality organizes different competitions and sports events with such vehicles. Participants must join to organizations with the appropriate sports clothing.

• The category cannot be changed after August 31th, 2019.

• Registrations cannot be cancelled or postponed after registration process is complited.

• All entry fees are non-refundable.

• Participants will not receive a confirmation e-mail after registration process is complited.

• Participants must check their registration from Confirmation page on the home page.

• Elite athlete entries are strictly by invitation only.

• In the event of cancellation of the Event, Vodafone İstanbul Marathon will have no responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of cancellation including any travel or accommodation costs.

• Each participant must agree to the disclaimer and Terms & Conditions before participating in the event.

• All participants must wear their assigned race numbers, clearly visible on the front of the torso during the race. Numbers must be displayed in full view, and may not be folded or cut in any way.

• Race numbers are specific personal identifiers and may not be exchanged with or transferred/sold to any other person. You must not under any circumstances give your race number to anyone else. This is particularly important for medical services and appropriate treatment in the event of injury or illness.

• Participation in the event is entirely at the risk of the entrant and Vodafone İstanbul Marathon are not liable for death, injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the event.

• Vodafone İstanbul Marathon reserves the right to delay, postpone, cancel, or not officially time the race in the event of adverse weather conditions. The determination of what constitutes adverse weather conditions is reserved solely to Vodafone İstanbul Marathon.
